I have a really annoying weakness in both my left and right ankles and they have a common tendency to sprain.
A couple of weeks ago on what should have been an easy run I was running down hill, slipped, and my right ankle was a goner.
I've tried to be so so good in not straining it more (like I normally do!) and have read up on copious articles about RICE, PRICE, POLICE etc (which one is it meant to be nowadays!?).
As my ankle has started to heal, I've kept up wakeboarding and swimming which is low enough impact not to irritate it more but active enough to stop me going nuts.
Today I braved the run and went for a super easy one mile which felt amazing after being off for 3 weeks. I'll still keep it really relaxed but onwards and upwards from here.
