Well this was an awesome moment. I only started wakeboarding properly this year and it's a sport where you can make some rapid progression if you push hard.
After 8 weeks or so of practising turns, ollies and a switches, I hit my first kicker and landed in style.
I am now absolutely hooked on wakeboarding and it's replaced running as my current obsession. I need to work on some upper body strength though as it takes its toll on shoulders and upper arms… and legs and core actually. So it's basically a full body work out and always leaves me knackered the next day! I've definitely seen greater definition in my arms since starting boarding but keen to see more!
It was such a beautiful evening and it's hard to tell that the video was taken at 9pm.
The wakepark we go to is Dunbar, south of Edinburgh and this is a pretty stunning part of Scotland. Belhaven bay is just around the corner which boasts some great surf.
